2010
B-litter

Lilia was very persistent in letting us know she was ready for a litter, so I eventually took her howl(!) for that and let her visit Gr.Eur.Ch. Glasnost Fengali in the second week of August 2010.
With them both being such gentle and easy going cats, it didn't take long for them to hit it off so this experienced boy of 13 years could teach Lilia all about the birds and the bees.
After 4 nights they still hadn't gotten tired of each other, but time had come to say goodbye - which Fengali did with some heartbreaking meows, bless him. They have really had quite the romance, these two, and I couldn't wish for anything more for a maiden queen's first experience.

After keeping me in suspense for 68 days, Lilia finally gave birth to her litter on October 13th, 2010 - exactly 4 years and 4 days after my A-litter was born. She had a very smooth delivery, resulting in two beautiful big babies; Alyona Bella Barinya, a girl, and Alyona Bogdan Bolodenka, a boy.

Alyona Bogdan Bolodenka (Danya)
Alyona Bogdan Bolodenka ("Danya") is an affectionate, playful and cuddly boy.
That happens to be in full accordance with his name, which means 'peaceful gift by god'.
From birth he has enjoyed his tickles under his chin and on his belly, and he'll make sure you
can reach.
He's got a beautiful appetite (weighed 2.84 kilos when he left me at 16 weeks!) and loves to
ride around on shoulders, as does his mommy.  Physically he also resembles her a lot.
While he is predominantly soft-natured and quiet, he does like to chat and can at times be a
true whirlwind when it comes to play, something he loves to engage in with his 'new brother' Dragomir, another young Russian Blue boy.
Although it is very unusual for cats to like each other at first glance, Dragomir and Danya have been virtually inseparable ever since they arrived to their new owners in Amsterdam.

Alyona Bella Barinya (Bella)
Alyona Bella Barinya is an independent spirit, very soft natured and very playful and never naughty. Her favourite game is fetch, which she started teaching me when she was only 7 weeks old.
'Bella' of course, stands for 'beautiful'. The name 'Barinya' deserves a bit more of an explanation:
In Russian it means 'lady of standing' and it also describes a traditional Russian dance.
That's not all though, in Aboriginal 'Barinya' means 'star' - a fitting name, because not only
does it match her Australian roots well, it also lines up beautifully with my 'Moon' prefix.
Last, but definitely not least, the name also refers to her great-grandmother Carinya, to honor the cat that got me determined to import from these exact lines, Carinya's breeder Sally and her owner Sharon. Both ladies have become dear friends.
The way things look now, Bella will be staying to enrich my breeding program with her unique pedigree with its very old lines. Both my other girls adore her, and in type she is the exact middle ground between her parents.

2006
A-litter

Before her first litter became a fact, Luna spent a few romantic nights with the lovely, beautiful hunk Robii (Ch. Robushka van de Muizenisse) during an all-in stay at luxury resort Daliena's (Tineke Hofma)!!!
This handsome gentleman had been on my wish list for Luna from the time they were still kittens, and I was very happy to learn early on that his owner was in favor of this combination as well.
Thankfully, Robii and Luna were ready for a small intermezzo just before the emigration of Daliena's cattery.
Luna was treated by him like the lady that she is, and per her own request was bred by him on the second day of her visit. This had the intended outcome, Luna got PREGNANT!!!
She expected her litter around the 9th of October 2006, and I was there to welcome her kittens into this world on the exact due date and without any complications. The kittens had beautiful birth weights (105, 91, 91 en 101 grams) and I could almost see them grow. Sheer joy!
Each and every kitten from this litter has become a cat with solid temper, they love to sit on laps and get their cuddles, love to be in the center of attention and purr almost continuously. They live life to the fullest, as royalty should!

Alana Yin of Alyona (Yinny)
The only girl in this litter, her name means "silver light".
Yinny can still be found elsewhere on this site, as she stayed here to reinforce the team.
She is a sweet, cheerful little girl, who, like a little girl should, was always a step ahead of her brothers.
She was the first to stand and walk, the first to meow, the first to drink from the water fountain, the first to eat solid food and the first to look proud after she used the litter box the first time (oh, how I love all those "firsts").
She was, and still is, the first to think of mischief too.
And just like her mom, she loves to discuss everything she has thought of with her humans through gentle meows.

Artemii Taro of Alyona (Taro)
Is the first-born Alyona kitten, with his name meaning "healthy first son".
He lived up to that name, for during the entire period with his mom here, he was always the heaviest and most muscular kitten.
Taro had a very relaxed nature and didn't like to tire himself too much; his energy went to his growth, and he wasn't the quickest to develop "skills". The first time I heard him meow, it was his request to please prepare his meal a little quicker! Probably even more than the others, he enjoyed his lap time - because tough kittens need love too!
Taro also still has a dedicated space on this website, but sadly the reason for this is not a happy one like it is for Yin.

Afanasi Ravi of Alyona (Ravi)
Was the second one to see the light and has become a little bright light for his surroundings himself. His name means "everlasting sun" which fits him perfectly!
The name is so fitting because of his never fading sunny mood, bright character and light blue plush coat.
From his first breath, Ravi can purr louder than any of my adult cats can and lets that be known often and happily. He enjoys kisses en cuddles from his humans, grooming by the other cats and meals all equally and will make sure you know. His hints that it's time for one of the above can't be misunderstood either!
He is really attached to his “big brother” Roef and I am very happy that I could let them go to a new home together. They live with a lovely family in Eindhoven, where Ravi likes to be in the center of attention when the kids play.

Anatoliy Kalii of Alyona (Roef)
Was born last as "dark sunrise"; with his serene nature and dark coat, the name fits him well.
Of all the kittens in this litter, Kalii reminds me most of his mom. He is a very soft en gentle creature; however, he possesses the courage of a lion at heart.
While here, he loved to be carried around on his back like a baby, and loved being kissed on the tummy.
He never put himself center stage the first months, but was always was where I was, watching silently. Always equally sweet and affectionate - a True Russian Blue!
However, Kalii, now named Roef, turned around completely in his new home. Though still sweet and fond of cuddles, he is now the one to think of mischief and is always happy to involve his partner in crime, Ravi.
